Kidnapping Jules — A smart or foolish move?

Chapter six of Wake the Dead (Face to Face) just dropped on Webtoon and the stakes have never been higher. By the end of the chapter, we’re left with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger—an unconscious Jules lying in a motel room, surrounded by the Wake siblings. If you’re familiar with Jules, you know that kidnapping Jules is a situation that’s not going to end well for everyone involved.

This is the same Jules, the fierce queen of voodoo, who burned down the Wake family home as a “warning”—because, of course, when the Wakes get stubborn and mouthy, you burn their house to the ground. But now she’s been kidnapped by the very people she was threatening and let’s be real, she’s definitely not going to take this "lying down."

As fans of the series know, the Wake siblings are a force to be reckoned with. Brave, resourceful, and never backing down from a fight. They’ve faced off against the Wings of Faith Temple more than once and always come out safe but with this new twist, it begs the question: have they finally bitten off more than they can chew?

Good news is, the Wakes don’t do simple, and they don’t do easy. Every move they make is calculated and Jayden in particular, is proving to be an invaluable asset. He has been the mastermind behind some seriously clever plans like the bird’s eye view device and the earpiece tech that helped the sisters escape the banshees in Chapter four.

And let’s not forget, Jayden was the brain behind the kidnapping idea in the first place. If anyone can think them out of a problem, it’s him. It is safe to say that we can expect more solid and intelligent ideas from the Wakes to combat whatever the kidnapping of Jules might throw at them.

But one thing’s for sure: this kidnapping is going to cause a whole lot of chaos, and we will be here for it.
